Tomorrow is actually my birthday, but I started celebrating today. Linda, my mother-n-law makes this yummy gooey chocolate cake with caramely stuff in it and cool whip with crushed toffee bars on top!!! It's sooooooo good and I wait for it every year on my birthday. It's a big Rains tradition to go out to dinner and then do gifts and cake. We have to have the big number candles and take a picture every year, it's really quite cute! (Mine number candles say 28 this year, by the way).Since Darian (Dennis's brother) and the gang are here in OK now, they got to join in, too! I think it's actually the first time we've all been here to celebrate my birthday, so that's pretty cool. I don't feel 28, most of the time, I feel younger, so I guess that's a good thing. Tomorrow, we will celebrate on my actual birthday with my family, which I haven't done in a while, so that will be fun, too! Thank God for birthdays!! (and for birthday cake!)
Happy Birthday to Carly Baker, today!!

Retreating
I had such a great time last weekend! I went to a ladies retreat with our church and had so much fun! It was at Camp Egan in Tahlequah and it was beautiful there. I wish I had remembered my camera, though. Saturday morning, I was up and about with the sun and I made a trip up the really steep trail to the top of this cliff that overlooks part of the Illinois River and all the hills in that area, it was cold up there, but really nice and quiet. I just sat up there for a little while (only about 10 minutes, before I got too cold) and enjoyed watching the hawks circle, then I headed back down. Mind you, I am not a dare devil, but I tend to do things that I should really not do alone, but I made it back down the steep, brush cluttered hill just fine and it helped me to remember what our theme,"Unplug from the World" really meant. I had so much fun learning and studying Scripture, and getting to know some of the women better. I even learned how to use a knitting loom and am in the process of making a scarf. Chloe informed me today that she wants a purple and pink one, so I now have a second project when I'm finished with this one. I am so thankful to Mamaw and Papaw, who let Cooper sleep over the weekend with them, so we all three had a little break from the usual. I will definitely go again, it was just awesome!

Happy Valentine's Day
I know I haven't posted in a while, we've been enjoying the nice 70 degree weather after we had all that ice the last time I posted. We even had tornadoes to the north of us, luckily most of it when around us. What crazy Oklahoma weather we have!
I hope you are having a wonderful Valentine's Day! Dennis and I did our "date" last night. Our church youth had a parents' night out raising money for camps, so we took advantage of that and hung out with some other parents that took their kids, we had so much fun! It was great to talk with adults and get to know some other couples better, plus Pictionary is just hilarious with our crazy group! Cooper likes all the goodies that come with valentines, he had his KDO Valentine party on Thursday which consisted of bringing home a huge bag of candy and cookies after they stuffed their faces with some of it there. It was fun to watch, though! Today, Dennis is working, so me and my little valentine are just chilling out at home. In fact, he's throwing his bouncy ball at me and tormenting Harry dog, so we're having fun.
On another note, our building project is coming along, although slowly. We have our heat/air and electrical ready, alarm system going in this week, and we are waiting on a plumber to finish some things so we can get an inspection. Hopefully (I know I always say that), we will see sheet rock going up by next weekend.
