Christmas #2, #3 & #4

Wow! What a busy few days with all the family gatherings!! I can't wait til next year, when we will have room for everyone to come to us!
We did our Rains family thing last night with Dennis's parents and his brother and his family. Dennis has been sick, so he really hasn't gotten to enjoy the festivities much. Cooper and I went to Mamaw & Papaw's this afternoon to visit them and left Dennis to sleep off his stomach bug. When we came home this evening, the three of us exchanged gifts. I don't think Cooper knows quite what to think about all the chaos, but he sure loves the little pieces of wrapping paper and any box he can bang on. We just enjoyed his reactions to what was going on so much, that we even forgot that we had gifts, too! There's nothing like a little kid at Christmas, it's the best!
I hope you've had a very blessed and Merry Christmas! Let's not forget that Christ is first in Christmas and let the spirit of Christmas stay with us all year!

Christmas #1

We did Christmas last night with the Ashcroft side of our family at Dad's (AKA Poppy). So this is Christmas #1 of 3 (that we are sure of, anyway). Cooper was thrilled with his big box which has a little play thing with a slide, etc. We didn't get it out yet, but we will when we get moved, we can probably put it inside then, at least until it's warm out. He also got some great Christmas books and a big truck book that seems to be a big hit, of course. We had everyone from out of town in, except cousin Rose who lives in California (who we missed and just in case you're are reading, I hope you got your Christmas card). I thought Cooper would be more interested in tearing the paper, but he didn't seem to enthused about it, he was more interested in playing with Uncle Ryan's old toy cars on the coffee table, which he spent at least an hour straight doing when we got there last night. Needless to say, Mommy and Daddy opened Cooper's gifts. We are doing our Rains Christmas tonight at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a pretty laid back Thanksgiving this year. We didn't travel anywhere and it was just me, Dennis, Cooper, Grandma Linda, Grandpa Al, my sister, Sasha, and my niece Chloe. We had dinner here- we cooked our dishes at different times since there's not much room for everyone at once. We have sooooo much to be thankful for, most of all thanks to the Lord for the opportunity to have our family and be together.
We stuffed ourselves and then took a little trip to Bass Pro to see Santa. The kids loved it! Cooper had a suprised look in his, but he didn't get upset, in fact, had they waited about two more seconds to take the picture, he would've been smiling. I can't post it, since my scanner is on the fritz, but it's cute! Here are some pics, we took hanging out on Turkey Day.
