Fluffing the Nest

I've been busy settling into the new place. We don't have much left to do, just personalizing a bit. Nancy and Marie helped me get some pictures up. I can hang them, it's just a matter of how to arrange them that I have issues with and I wanted to do a wall with family pictures. So, after much deliberation, they decided to take my pictures and re-frame or re-size some to make them arrangable on the wall. I love it!

We have metal shop doors in our house, since it's a shop house and we didn't really have much choice. I found magnet curtain rods at good ole' Wally World and some curtains that help to shade the west window and the back door, as well.

New House

We are loving our new place! We've stayed a few nights there already and we just have a few very small things we have to finish up, but pretty much moved in! Cooper loves his new room and his toddler bed. I don't have pictures downloaded yet to post. I know it's been a while since I posted, we are still working on getting our phone service out there. Sooooo...that means not much checking e-mail and web. I'm a bit lost without it. I'll post again with more when I get all connected.

Stuff

We got back in just a little while ago from going on a boat ride. It was a nice day to enjoy the lake. Dennis decided to take a break from the building project and it's been nice to all enjoy the day together.
Cooper has a new hair cut for the summer! I'm pretty sure he feels a lot cooler! Dennis swears he's going to start his own "mobile barber shop" now- get your oil changed and a hair cut- hehehe.



Our house is STILL in progress, we keep getting closer and closer, just lots of little things to finish. The bank people say it's 97%, I'll be glad when it's 100% and we're moved in!

House Updates

A lot is happening, FINALLY, at our place. The last few days have been VERY productive!! YAY!! It's nice to see progress! Dennis and my Dad knocked out a bunch of stuff on Saturday. Dennis took today to work on the laminate flooring. In fact, some of the pictures of the laminate were taken two different times today, so you can see they got a lot of it done. They still have the remaining parts of the bedrooms and the transition pieces to do. The picture of the tile was taken this morning before it had grout, too. They ran out of grout, so they'll finish that tomorrow and the trimwork will start tomorrow as well. Now, if we can just get it all to fall into place that all the people can get out to do their jobs to finish, preferably THIS WEEK! I'm not pushing my luck, though. I'm planning to do clean up this weekend, probably not going to be ready to move in just yet. But, we're getting very close now!
