Springing Up

Coop and Daddy hanging out
I haven't posted in a while...something about being busy with boys! Spring seems to be here extra early this year...like a month early! The boys are growing like weeds, of course. In a month, Clayton will be one year old!!
Cooper is getting tall and he has discovered fishing with Daddy. They don't get much fishing done, but he thinks it's the best thing ever. He managed to get a hook in his hand (barely) and nearly gave it up, but after he got home and did his dramatic cry and took a bath, the little spot he hooked was nowhere to be found. He has decided he would like to go again.

Cruising!

Silly Cooper

Wagon ride

I took this April 6th about 8pm...the moon is orange and it was way cool

My roses blooming in April--they usually don't bloom til right before Mother's Day
Clayton is getting a mouth full of teeth! He has two on top and four on bottom right now and working on a couple more. He is also cruising around quite quickly and it won't be long before he figures out how to walk....them heaven help me, I'm in trouble!

We've been enjoying the mild weather and we are ready to go camping anytime now, especially before it gets to be scorching hot!!

I have our garden nearly planted. We got a lot of rain over spring break and I wasn't able to plant corn and okra and my flowers around the garden, just the raised beds. The boys are all sorts of help out there, as you can imagine...Clayton hangs out in the wagon or I wait til he is napping and Cooper actually does help a little with watering and he helped plant some seeds. He loves to check things out with me to see what's coming up. It's lots of fun to watch our garden (and our babies) grow!

My raised beds are all planted with potatoes and peas going crazy

Clayton is on the move!

Blizzard!!

We've already had a couple winter storms come through our neck of the woods in January, but this is by far, the biggest! The terms I've heard on the news are blizzard and white out conditions....pretty serious stuff! We got a lot of sleet last night with thunder and lightning, then it began full out blowing snow and it's now almost noon and still going! These are some pics I took from our window....I am not brave enough to attempt to take any outside!

Happy Spring??

Today is the first day of spring and it's sleeting!!! We are expecting a winter storm today....gotta love Oklahoma weather!
March is flying by! I had a great birthday....my last official birthday for my twenties. Next year can be the first anniversary of my 29th! We are gearing up for spring time around here, doing some spring cleaning, and making a list of the million things we need to do around the house. Cooper and I started our tomato seeds in a little indoor greenhouse tray on Monday and they are already sprouting!! I love to watch things grow and we are ready to get out and work in the garden, if the rain will subside enough for us to till it up and get it ready to plant in a couple weeks. I am so ready to have flowers again, too. I really miss my flowers!! I haven't had flower beds for almost two years!! I have spots picked out in our back yard for them, just a matter of getting them done and filled with dirt. We also plan to get Cooper's swing set done some time before the summer starts. Not to mention all the other things we have on the honey-do list.
We got to visit with my little brother, Kody on Monday!!!! He had never met Cooper and I haven't seen him in over two years!!! He is 19 (20 in May) and in the Navy, getting ready to be stationed in Virginia and ship out somewhere from there. We are so proud of him, he is all grown up!! It was great to visit with him and hear what he's been up to and all the places he's already been and looking forward to going. I know Mom would be very proud as well!! We will be praying for his safety and sending him mail when we can!

White Christmas??

I can't believe it's Christmas Eve!! We began our celebrations last night by going to Darian's house in Pryor, the kids were all so excited! Cooper wasn't really sure what was up, but he was SUPER excited to see all the gifts and get to play with his cousins. We had lots of fun hanging out!
We had planned to go to Dennis's cousin, Kristine's house in Claremore after leaving Darian's today, but "the weather outside is frightful", so we headed on home and it's a good thing, too. A few of my family members were going to join us for Christmas Eve service, coming from 45 minutes away in good weather and opted not to do that, which was also a wise decision. We are staying home, not going to risk getting out in the slush tonight. This isn't exactly the type of white stuff we'd like to see at Christmas...prefer just snow without the ice!

Enjoy our Christmas Train pictures and Rains Christmas pictures...more to come!

Early Spring

Yes, my kid is wearing a head band, he put it on himself and it was too funny! He wears Daddy's hats, why not my head band?

We've been enjoying the nice weather and the last couple evenings, Cooper and I have been to our place to play. Cooper gets to ride on the tractor with Daddy and I walk around picking up bits and pieces that the guys have missed from the building project. The project is still slow! I am so ready to be out there, it's so nice and quiet and this weather makes me excited to start my garden soon!
Enjoy the pics!!

Icy Day

Cooper and I have been hanging out here trying to keep warm today. Usually, he'd be at Kid's Day Out and I'd be running my errands. However, we got some lovely wintry mix yucky stuff last night, which meant schools are cancelled as well as KDO and I feel safer not trying to get out in it anyway. I'm just glad I remembered to get the Coop some milk yesterday! Dennis did go to work, but I'm expecting him home early for a change. He's bringing home his welder so we can use the generator in case of ice like we had last year that knocks out the power.

I took this picture of Cooper today, trying to get into the gifts that I have strategically stuffed behind the big chair since there is very little room under out 30 inch tree (which I will have to take a pic of for you, it's pretty cute, even have my smaller gifts under it) that is sitting on the counter. I guess he really likes the paper.
