Wildflowers

These are some wildflowers that Coop and I picked when we were driving around the pasture this sunny afternoon. He thought it was great fun to watch me pick them and had to see what I would do with them when I brought them in. I love to have fresh flowers in the house and they don't get any fresher than this! I love living in the country!

I beg your pardon, I never promised you a rose garden.....

Our veggie garden is growing and I finally have flowers again!!! I planted a few potted flowers the brighten up the front door. But, my pride and joy is the start of my rose garden!! It was my Mother's Day gift, I guess for myself...I bought them, got all the things I needed to plant them correctly, dug the holes and put those little plants in the ground myself....I have a great sense of satisfaction about that! I plan to add some cuttings from my great grandmother's roses this fall.

Happy Spring??

Today is the first day of spring and it's sleeting!!! We are expecting a winter storm today....gotta love Oklahoma weather!
March is flying by! I had a great birthday....my last official birthday for my twenties. Next year can be the first anniversary of my 29th! We are gearing up for spring time around here, doing some spring cleaning, and making a list of the million things we need to do around the house. Cooper and I started our tomato seeds in a little indoor greenhouse tray on Monday and they are already sprouting!! I love to watch things grow and we are ready to get out and work in the garden, if the rain will subside enough for us to till it up and get it ready to plant in a couple weeks. I am so ready to have flowers again, too. I really miss my flowers!! I haven't had flower beds for almost two years!! I have spots picked out in our back yard for them, just a matter of getting them done and filled with dirt. We also plan to get Cooper's swing set done some time before the summer starts. Not to mention all the other things we have on the honey-do list.
We got to visit with my little brother, Kody on Monday!!!! He had never met Cooper and I haven't seen him in over two years!!! He is 19 (20 in May) and in the Navy, getting ready to be stationed in Virginia and ship out somewhere from there. We are so proud of him, he is all grown up!! It was great to visit with him and hear what he's been up to and all the places he's already been and looking forward to going. I know Mom would be very proud as well!! We will be praying for his safety and sending him mail when we can!

Happy Mother's Day

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

I hope all you moms out there are having a wonderful day! You are wonderful blessings to not only your own, children, but also to me! Love you all!

Cooper made me this pretty little corsage at school out of tissue and egg carton (actually, I think Miss Karen made them, but it's from Cooper and isn't it cute?)

The last two days, we've got to see all the grandmas to celebrate Mother's Day with them, too!

My friend Traci, took these pictures of Cooper a couple weeks ago at their farm. I didn't post them until now, because I used them to make Mother's Day collages for all the grandmas and wanted them to be suprised. They were a big hit! Aren't they great pictures?!? Of course, this is my favorite subject matter, my little boy.
