TAG!!!

Okay, I've been tagged by my friend, Traci! Now I have to tell you six things you may not know about me. Since I have a pretty wide variety of friends and family, some of you will know some of these things and some of you won't, so enjoy. Here you go:

1. I used to show pigs, yes, I said pigs. And not the potbelly kind, the big ones that we eat! I showed all through high school and did lots of leadership activities, too in FFA. Those of you who have never seem me in a farm setting are probably stunned!

2. Here's another that won't suprise you so much after the first one. I went to Oklahoma State University (GO POKES), graduated with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Education with teaching option, but ended up going into the area of food production (it's somewhat related). Now, you know that I am full time mommy and lovin' it!

3. I met my husband on a blind date, set up my a mutual friend of ours- Thank you, Dennisa!! We've been together for nearly 10 years, married for almost four.

4. I am the oldest of 5, I have one "full" sister, I guess you could say, 2 half brothers, and one half sister and I love them all dearly. Somehow I became the responsible one and most of the time that pretty much stinks, but it has it's perks.

5. Some of you may know, but I am a Mary Kay consultant. I know, sounds funny after hearing about the pigs, go figure. This is why some are suprised by the first one. Some people only know me as the "Mary Kay Lady", which is so great!

6. I LOOOOVVVEEE Mexican food, I think I could eat it day and night. I'm suprised my child didn't come out speaking Spanish and holding a bean burrito after the many trips to Taco Bueno while I was pregnant. FYI, I still love Taco Bueno bean burritos, can you believe that?!?

Now I'm TAGGING:

Shawn & Morgan
These are my dear friends with adorable twins! Morgan was my collge roommate and everyone mistakes us for sisters, she is like a sister to me, though.

"Yes, They are All Mine"
I recently discovered this one thanks to Traci. I enjoy reading what's up with all those kiddos!

I don't look at a lot of blogs, so here's something else fun for you:
Go to my MARY KAY VIRTUAL MAKEOVER-
You can download your own picture, it even shows you an example of the best way to take the picture of yourself for best results, try colors and HAIR STYLES, too!! You set up an account just so you can save what you try on, then send it to me, so I can see, too!!
PS- I will post mine as soon as I get a good picture to use for it, for some reason, I take all the pictures, but am rarely in any of them!

HAVE FUN!!

Dirt Work

c

Here are some pictures of what our land looks like right now. I wish I had remembered to take photos before they began clearing all the overgrown stuff out of the corner and filling in the "pond" thing we had in the front corner. There is still a way to go, but it has come a long way, too. It looks completely different and now I think it looks like ten acres, where it didn't so much before. That's Dennis on the tractor. As soon as he saw me pull in, he drove over to us and got out singing Kenny Chesney, "She thinks my tractor's sexy"- He did look pretty cute (giggle, giggle).

I also had to add one of Cooper eating one of his new favorite things, scrambled eggs. This kid loves them, I make them for both of us a couple days a week, scrambled with cheese, he gobbles them up. As you can see, he's learning to feed himself, when he's in the mood, anyway.

Back from Seminar

I'm back from Dallas now and I had a great time. I missed Cooper and Dennis like crazy, though! Cooper had fun at Mamaw and Papaw's and learned a couple of cute little things while he was there, too. He can now "strum" his lip and is getting very good at playing peek-a-boo. It's too cute!

I had fun in Dallas. I love to go to Mary Kay events and I really learned a lot and was blessed to be around some wonderful women and hear a lot of positive, uplifting things. It's amazing to me, that you can go to a company function and see a woman who has become a millionaire in Mary Kay, get up to speak and the first thing out of her mouth is humble praise to God. I just love that about Mary Kay!

Not Too Much

We've just been trucking along with life the last week. Dennis and the guys were able to get a lot of dirt work done on our property last weekend, I plan to take some pictures so we can see the progress. I'm thinking about doing another blog for that "little" project. Sunday, we celebrated Dennis's birthday and our nephew, Tyecin's 8th birthday with a Rains family cookout.
I am leaving for Dallas for Mary Kay Seminar Sunday morning and will be back Wednesday night, so I will post about that when I return. I will miss my boys soooooo much!!

Cute Stuff

Yes, this is my child who wiggled out of his pants which are still laying in his bed! When I went into his room, he was really grinning and jumping up and down holding onto the side of the bed. (Yes, the bed is a pack and play with a mattress, the only thing we can fit in our temporary home) This is not the first time he has done this, I just happened to be able to get the camera before he got mad. Usually if he sees me, he wants out! The snot running from his nose is just a little bonus for you- hehehe. I just had to share, it made me giggle this morning.

By the way, I finally figured out how to make the links work for pictures and website links in posts, so the last couple posts are now linked. And, check out my little "Meez" waving- Thanks, Traci! She's way cuter than me, but I can pretend!

Happy Birthday, Hubby!

Today, my dear husband turned 32! Happy Birthday, Honey!

Cooper and I have been helping at Vacation Bible School at our church this week (at least, I have, Cooper plays in the nursery). We have a beach theme this year- "Surfin' Through the Scriptures" with the "Beach Be-attitudes" of "Be Obedient", "Be Kind", "Be Forgiving", "Be Bold", and "Believe".
You can see VBS pics taken so far, you'll see Cooper and I in there, too!

Happy Independence Day!

Let us remember today that our freedom has been and is being bought with a price. Don't take it for granted and don't forget that our country was founded on the motto, "In God We Trust",so let's trust Him.

This is the first time I've been to Fort Gibson Historic Site and it was really interesting and it was neat to know that so much had happened on that land and picture what it would have been like over 150 years ago. We didn't stay for the reading of the Constitution, it was a little warm to sit in the mess hall with a lot of people and no AC- I'm such a wuss!

Happy Independence Day!
