Date Night and Family Gathering

Cooper stayed the night with Mamaw and Papaw last night, so hubby and I had a much needed evening alone. So, how does that Jeff Foxworthy thing go again?... Oh yeah, "You might be a redneck if....your idea of a romantic evening is taking a ride on the bass boat to your favorite lakefront restaurant"- Yep, that's us! I think he married me because I am so easily amused- hehehe. We had fun just hanging out together free of distractions, I think we forget what that's like since we've had Cooper, we need to have "dates" a little more often! I feel like I'm a much better mommy when take that time for Dennis and me, too.

I'll be posting pictures of our family "mini-reunion", I guess you'd call it, very soon. We had a lunch with some of Papaw's side of the family, celebrating his sister's birthday (she is 83 years young tomorrow). "Aunt Neat", as we call her used to babysit us when we were kids and she always made us mac and cheese with weenies cut up in it (still delicious to this day) and we would sew little Barbie clothes and pillows, make tents behind her couch, and cut out paper dolls from the clothing catalogs. Oh, those were the days! So, Happy Birthday to Aunt Neat!
