We've got quite a start to our "little" garden. It's much bigger than I thought we'd start out with, but it will be fun to see what comes out of it. I've only ever had a small flower bed garden, but I have somewhat of a green thumb, so I figure if I can keep even half of it alive and producing, it will all be worth it. Here are pics of what it looks like so far. We don't have any kind of fence around it just yet, hopefully the critters will stay out of it for now. There's no chance of it getting mowed over, since we don't even have grass yet! Anyone know where I can get sweet potatoes to plant??? Traci, anything you want to put in, let me know, there's still room! Next year, We will have a fence around it and I plan to do a cut flower garden around the outside, so I will have fresh flowers AND fresh veggies.
So far, we have planted garlic, onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, banana peppers, asparagus, strawberries, potatoes, beans of all kinds, corn, okra, watermelon, cantaloupe, cucumbers, squash, pumpkins, carrots, spinach .... I think that's it so far. Some of them have been plants or root stock, most of them seeds so it's just now getting where they are coming up. Hopefully everything will sprout!

The onions have taken off!

Potato sprouts

Garlic

We have three rows of corn popping up

This picture doesn't really help with size, but the plot is about 40 feet long and 25 feet wide, quite a bit of room and it will probably get bigger next year!
