Comfort in a Quilt
My Aunt Mary passed away on the 28th and there was a beautiful memorial service for her at Inverness Village where she lived with my Grangy (her mother and my grandmother on Dad's side). I didn't attend the second service in Wichita, where she had lived for as long as I could remember, but I understand it, too was beautiful. We will all miss her so very much...she always kept us nieces and nephews in line and you could always count on her to tell you what she thought. She made some of the most gorgeous quilts you've seen! In fact, I think she was able to make every one of her siblings, their children, and grandchildren one of their own before she passed away. I remember how proud she was to give them at Christmases, even the quilting was special for each person. My favorite part of mine is that she knew how much I like pigs and had a realy pretty pattern with a pig in one corner that you can see on the back of the quilt! She bravely fought cancer for over a year, probably close to two years and we know that God has now healed her. Thank you all for cards, calls, and prayers.
